Tour Details
On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Austin at the indicated time and set off on our journey to San Antonio. During a smooth 1 hour and 15-minute drive, we'll share the must-see highlights we'll be visiting upon arrival in the so-called River City.
Pulling up to San Antonio, we'll visit a local cultural icon, The Alamo. As we walk through this historic site, we'll enjoy a guided tour through the courtyard, learning about the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. We'll get up close and personal with some of the Alamo’s largest weapons and fortifications, including the 16-pounder cannon and the barracks. Afterwards, we'll stroll through the lush gardens sheltered by the shade of time-worn oak trees on the historic grounds.
Our next stop will be at San Antonio’s Spanish Missions, where our guide will lead us through Mission San Jose—did you know that this is the largest of the city’s four southernmost Spanish Colonial Missions, as well as being the most visited? Mission San Jose is often referred to as the “Queen of the Missions,” and we'll soon find out why.
Next up, we'll check out amazing views of San Antonio by taking an elevator ride 190 m (623 ft) to the top of the Tower of the Americas. At the Tower’s Observation Deck, we'll witness the most magnificent panoramic view of the city.
Continuing the tour, we'll pass by the River Walk, a world-renowned 15-mile (24 km) urban waterway, to go on a relaxing 35-minute cruise. Enjoy the charm of the winding urban river on a silent, electric, and colourful boat while admiring the stunning architecture, lively culture & music.
Finally, after 7 hours together, we'll head back to your hotel. See you next time!
