Explore the European Valley of Brazil on this excursion to Blumenau & Pomerode, cities famous for their Oktoberfest celebration. We'll take you on a journey through the German origin of this region!
After being picked up from your hotel between 8 and 9 am, we'll set off on a tour by car or bus along the Itajaí-Açu River, passing through the towns of Ilhota and Gaspar.
Our first stop of the day is the city of Blumenau. Founded by German immigrants, it still maintains many Germanic customs. Its most famous festival, in fact, is Oktoberfest, one of the biggest German celebrations in Brazil, modeled after the famous one in Munich.
In the center of Blumenau, we'll visit the City Hall, which was once a train station, and the Cathedral of St. Paul the Apostle. We'll also have time to visit the Beer Museum and the Beer Garden. These spaces are filled with antique objects that show the art and preparation of this beverage, reflecting the importance of beer in this European valley.
Afterward, we'll enter the famous Vila Germânica, a popular park for hosting events like Oktoberfest. This area will surprise you with the typical German architecture of its numerous souvenir and craft stores, restaurants, and much more. We'll stop here so you can have lunch on your own before continuing.
With our batteries recharged, we'll board the bus to go to Pomerode, another town of German origin. We'll arrive through the Portal Wolfgang Weege, a sort of "triumphal arch" or gateway to the city, which has become one of the most photographed tourist attractions.
Once inside the city, we'll visit a typical porcelain store, a craft brewery, and the zoo. You'll have time to see lions, hippos, giraffes, wolves, and many other animals. The last stop of the day will be at Vila Encantada, where we'll travel back to the time of the dinosaurs.
The tour ends by returning to the pickup hotels.
The tour includes pickup and transfer back to the hotels in the center of Balneario Camboriú. If your hotel is outside the pickup area, it will be necessary to arrange a meeting point.
