Explore the magic of the Patagonian forest under the moonlight with this night hike in Chalhuaco Valley. It'll be an unforgettable experience!
Night Hike Details
After picking you up at the designated time at your hotel in Bariloche, we'll leave the city behind and drive on a steep road in the vast forest in this area of the Argentine Patagonia. Let's go!
After a 12.42-mile (20-kilometer) journey, we'll reach the start of the path of the Chalhuaco Valley, a natural site with a peaceful calm at night.
We'll gear up and provide you with flashlights to start this hike along the paths in this lenga beech forest. From the very first moment, our flashlights' lights will project shadows on the tree trunks and roots, creating a unique ambiance.
For 30 minutes, we'll hike at a calm pace so we can appreciate the sounds of the forest at night, and, with a bit of luck, we'll hear the calls of the nocturnal birds. As we continue, we'll tell you about the flora and fauna that inhabit the region of Chalhuaco as the feeling of isolation will make you truly connect with nature.
After our hiking route, we'll return to the starting point, where dinner at a mountain lodge awaits. We'll start with a pumpkin soup, the perfect hot dish to revitalize. Afterward, you can choose between two recipes prepared in a Patagonian style: Creole-style steak with potatoes and vegetables or a lentil stew. To top it off, you'll enjoy a tiramisu for dessert.
Finally, after a 4.5-hour experience, we'll say our goodbyes at your hotel.
