We'll pick you up from your hotel, where we'll board the vehicle to begin a tour of Belém. Ready to discover the charms of the capital of the state of Pará?
We'll start the visit with a walk through the Ver-o-Peso market, a landmark composed of several spaces, such as the Mercado de Ferro, Praça do Pescador, Pedra do Peixe, and the docks of the merchandise ships. Did you know that it's one of the oldest markets in Brazil?
We'll continue the tour in the historic center of Belém, where we'll see the Feliz Lusitânia complex, an old Portuguese colonial settlement whose origin dates back to 1616. Here. we'll find buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, such as the Forte do Presépio and the Casa das Onze Janelas (Palace of the Eleven Windows). We'll tell you all about them on the tour!
We'll also see the Metropolitan Cathedral, a temple whose architecture mixes neoclassical and Baroque styles, and the Church of Santo Alexandre. Afterward, we'll stop at the Mangal das Garças park, located in the surroundings of Arsenal da Marinha, a rehabilitated area that has many attractions such as museums, bird and plant nurseries, a butterfly farm, and restaurants.
Our last stop will be at the Espaço São José Liberto, built in 1749, which houses several creative and cultural spaces, as well as a chapel and handicraft houses. Finally, we'll end our tour of Belém by taking you back to your hotel, where we'll arrive around 12 pm.
