Join us for an exciting hiking adventure through the Restinga de Bertioga State Park, where we'll uncover magnificent natural wonders and embark on a boat ride along the Itapanhaú River.
Description
We'll meet up at the designated time on Rua Pastor Djalma da Silva Coimbra to kick off our hiking tour in Bertioga. Are you ready for a journey in the great outdoors? Let's get started!
Our tour begins with a brief boat ride along the Itapanhaú River, meandering through the heart of the Brazilian rainforest. Along the way, you'll witness the gradual transformation of the landscape as the vegetation changes.
We'll navigate through mangroves, riparian forests, swamp forests, low sandbanks, high sandbanks, and hillside forests full of century-old trees! Bertioga Restinga State Park showcases tons of diverse scenery.
Following the boat ride, we'll disembark and begin our hike about 5 - 6 kilometers (3.1 - 3.7 miles). While we walk, we'll experience varying thermal sensations due to the changing vegetation and marvel at the array of flowers and colors within the Atlantic Forest.
We'll pass by the cable car line of the Itatinga Hydroelectric Power Plant and the iron bridge over the Guaxanduva River. As our comes to an end, you'll have the chance to cool off in the natural pools.
After approximately four hours of exploration, we'll bid farewell back at the starting point.
