Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Budapest, and from there we’ll begin this journey through the heart of Europe. Ready? Let’s go!
First, we’ll explore Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, which has witnessed royal coronations and dramatic political changes. We’ll discover its history on a 1-hour guided tour through the cobblestone streets of its Old Town.
As we wander through the historic center, we’ll see St. Michael’s Gate and the Primate’s Palace. We’ll admire the unique beauty of the Blue Church and climb up to Bratislava Castle, where the panoramic views will remind us that we’re at the crossroads where Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary meet.
After the guided tour, we’ll give you 1.5 hours of free time to explore the city center at your own pace and try some of its delicious cuisine. After that, we’ll meet up again to head to the former seat of the Habsburgs: Vienna.
Once in the Austrian capital, we’ll explore the Hofburg Palace District, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and the iconic Ringstraße boulevard. For 1 hour, we’ll share stories of emperors and musical geniuses who shaped the State Opera House and the historic squares.
At the end of the guided tour, you’ll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy a Viennese coffee, visit a museum, or simply let yourself be swept away by the elegance of its boulevards.
Finally, we’ll head back to the starting point, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a 12.5-hour day trip.
