Day Trip Details
We'll meet at Apáczai Csere János utca, in the center of Budapest, and from there, we'll set off on a road trip of almost 1.5 hours. We'll arrive at Kecskemét, a beautiful Baroque city located in the center of the Puszta.
Here, we'll embark on a 1.5-hour guided walking tour of the city's historic center to see its main buildings. We'll walk along its Bohemian streets and admire the Town Hall, a Nouveau masterpiece, before reaching the Cifra Palace. Here, you'll see its colorful and fantastical decoration, also present in various churches in the town. You'll love it.
After visiting Kecskemét, we'll head to Lajosmizse, where we'll visit Tanyacsárda, a traditional Hungarian equestrian ranch. Upon arrival, we'll be offered a shot of pálinka, a tasty fruit aguardiente, and freshly baked carckling buns. Then, you'll have time to explore the ranch and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride. What an experience!
Once we finish the horse-drawn carriage ride, you'll enjoy a lunch with traditional Magyar three-course lunch with wine or mineral water. We'll end the activity on a high note with a traditional equestrian show, where you'll be captivated by the skillful riders on elegant Lipizzan horses and sturdy Hungarian crossbreeds. You'll be amazed!
After 8 hours, we'll conclude the day trip by returning to the initial starting point.
