Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the indicated time at Largo Carlo Felice, in Cagliari and, once we're all together, we'll make our way towards Barumini, a small town located at the feet of the Parco della Giara. There stands the majestic Su Nuraxi, considered the largest Nuragic complex in all of Europe.

Once we're there, we'll enter the remnants of the hut village that once housed the Nuragic communities, declared a World Heritage Site. We'll then enter the imposing nuraghe, the central tower, which reflects how the civilisation knew how to build a powerful link with its land. We'll discover why!

After the visit to Su Nuraxi, we'll head towards Casa Zapata, an elegant residence constructed for the Sardinian-Aragonese Barons of Zapata. Did you know that it now houses a small archaeological museum?

Before returning to Cagliari, we'll make a stop in Pimentel to discover the Domus de Janas, ancient rock-hewn tombs that date back to the Neolithic period, a fascinating testimony of 5000 years ago! Because of their structure, they are known as Fairy Houses, and it is known that there are at least 2500 of them spread all over Sardinia.

We'll conclude the tour by taking you back to the starting point in Cagliari after a total of 5 hours.
