At the appointed time we'll meet at Avenida Nuno Álvares to start this walking tour of museums in Castelo Branco. Ready to learn about its history and main monuments? During the tour, we'll explore all the charms of this Portuguese city.
Strolling through the capital of the ancient region of Beira Baixa, we'll see what's left standing of the Templar walls, the façades of the Igreja da Misericórdia, or the 'Church of Mercy,' as well as the Cathedral and manor houses belonging to families of great historical relevance.
Afterward, we'll head to the Castelo Branco embroidery interpretation center, where we'll learn more about one of the most deeply rooted traditional activities of this town.
