On this hike to the Laguna Escondida (Hidden Lagoon), we'll explore the spectacular rocky mountains surrounding Caviahue which are home to a beautiful natural lake.
After picking you up from your hotel in Caviahue, we'll make our way to one of the natural lakes in the province of Neuquén. Are you ready to explore the rocky mountains that surround the city and the Laguna Escondida? Let's go hiking!
Over the course of 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles), we'll follow a hiking route through the rocky area that protects Caviahue. During the trek, we'll admire beautiful scenic views of the city while we tell you about how the Laguna Escondida was formed. We'll walk uphill, making various pauses to take in the landscape and take postcard-pretty photos.
Once we reach the highest point, we'll get to see the lake. We'll continue onwards and find ourselves surrounded by impressive scenery made up of mountains and the Copahue Volcano. These 360º views will be complemented by scattered little houses of the villa overlooking the Laguna Escondida. The perfect spot to enjoy a comforting warm drink!
Lastly, we'll begin our journey back and say our goodbyes at your hotel in Caviahue after a total of 2 hours.
