Tour Highlights
At the specified time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chapada dos Guimarães to set off on the hiking route. A scenic trail of around 10 kilometers (6 miles) awaits us at the Aroe Jari Cavern Tourist Complex, situated inside the Água Fria farm.
As we traverse this route, we'll explore three remarkable caves and the renowned Gruta da Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon Grotto), a true trip through time. Along the way, we'll delve into the history of the ancestors who once inhabited this natural environment.
Did you know that this complex houses some of the biggest sandstone caves in South America? Notably, the Aroe Jari Cavern is Brazil's largest, so have your camera ready! Gradually, we'll encounter distinctive rock formations, such as the Ponte de Pedra and the Pedra do Equilíbrio.
Our journey will culminate with a visit to the Gruta da Lagoa Azul, celebrated for its crystal-clear waters—a true paradise!
While marvelling at these breathtaking landscapes, we'll pause for lunch, indulging in a traditional local meal featuring plantain farofa, fried fish, or chicken with rice, salad, and beans.
Concluding the trekking route, we'll cap off the experience with a refreshing swim at Cachoeira do Relógio—a perfect spot for relaxation! After approximately eight hours of hiking, we'll drop you off back at your hotel.
