At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Shu Feng Ya Yun Sichuan Opera House to enjoy a unique experience: the Sichuan Opera. Are you ready for a celebration of sounds and colours?
We'll head into this beautiful art venue in Chengdu as we talk about its history and cultural background. In every corner of the theatre, we'll see extravagant traditional Chinese decorations in a peculiarly illuminated hall.
Then, we'll be escorted to your seats, where we'll witness a one-of-a-kind performance. More than an opera, it will be a fascinating interplay of various performances intermingling sets, characters, masks, shadow dances, acrobatics, and traditional Chinese musical instruments.
What is the meaning behind each performance? You'll find out! For 1 hour and 15 minutes, you'll have a unique experience in which you can even put on masks and dress up like the actors of the Sichuan opera.
