On this sidecar tour of the Loire Valley, we'll depart from Chinon to discover its heritage and that of other nearby villages such as Candes-Saint-Martin and Chouzé-sur-Loire. Buckle up!
Chinon Private Sidecar Tour
We'll start this tour of the Loire Valley by meeting in front of the Chinon Tourist Office at the indicated time. There we'll get on a motorbike with a sidecar, a super retro way to travel! It's perfect for getting around this part of France.
First, we'll take a sidecar tour of Chinon to see the main monuments of this picturesque town on the banks of the Vienne River. We'll see the exterior of the imposing Royal Fortress, as well as other architectural gems such as the collegiate church of Saint Mexme and the chapel of Sainte-Radegonde.
We'll then leave Chinon behind us and follow the route towards Candes-Saint-Martin. Here you'll learn about the history of Saint Martin of Tours and see the confluence of the Vienne and Loire rivers.
After admiring this site, we cross the iconic Montsoreau Bridge and head to another beautiful village in the Loire Valley, Chouzé-sur-Loire.
We'll walk through the small old town of Chouzé and finally return to Chinon. Arrival at the meeting point is scheduled for two hours after departure.
What are the motorbikes like?
The vehicles will be driven at all times by the guide. Each motorbike has a maximum capacity for 2 passengers: one on the motorbike itself, behind the guide, and one in the sidecar.
