Boat Trip & Mussel Tasting on the Ría de Pontevedra

At your selected time, we'll meet at the port in Combarro, where the boat will be waiting for our cruise on the Ría de Pontevedra. Thanks to the underwater viewing area of this modern boat, you'll have the opportunity to discover the fascinating marine life inhabiting the estuary.

As we sail along the Pontevedra estuary, you'll notice that the water is full of wooden platforms known as 'bateas'. Do you know what they're used for? We'll find out on the boat trip!

Halfway through the cruise, we'll catch a glimpse of Tambo Island. Located in the middle of the estuary, this small island houses the remains of Iron Age settlements. From the boat, we'll admire the island's famous lighthouse, which is noted for its curious spiral staircase.

As we continue our boat trip along the Pontevedra estuary, we'll learn all about how mussels, oysters and scallops, three typical Galician delicacies, are cultivated in the area.

What's more, for the finishing touch on our Ría de Pontevedra boat trip, we'll enjoy a tasting of mussels and Galician wine before returning to Combarro port. Delicious!
