Looking for a way to blend history and nature? This tour to Tlos and Saklikent Gorge will take you to discover the remains of one of the most important cities of ancient Lycia and a natural gem in the Fethiye region.
At 8.30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Dalyan and start a road trip to the town of Tlos.
Once we arrive in Tlos, we'll start a guided tour of this ancient Lycian citadel. Did you know that it's one of the most important settlements in the region? We'll walk through the ruins while discovering different historical facts. The acropolis, the Byzantine walls, the fortress, the theater, the baths - it'll be like traveling back in time!
Then, we'll take a break to rest and refuel at a local restaurant. We'll enjoy a traditional lunch in this region!
After lunch, we'll head to the Saklikent Gorge, the second largest gorge in Europe. It's over 18 km (11 miles) long and has a depth of 300 meters (985 feet). Pretty impressive, right? We'll hike through the gorge while admiring the captivating beauty of crystal clear waters flowing between the cliffs - it's quite a sight to behold!
Before returning to Dalyan, we'll stop at a village where the traditional Turkish carpets are made.
Lastly, we'll arrive at your hotel at about 5.30 pm.
