Check out the itineraries of the private excursions below:
Batalha, Nazaré, Alcobaça & Óbidos (8 hours)
After picking you up from your hotel in Fátima, we'll set off to Batalha, where we'll visit its striking 14th century monastery, considered a masterpiece of Portuguese Gothic architecture. We'll then continue to the next town on our tour where we'll enter Alcobaça Monastery, home to the tomb of Portuguese King Pedro I. You'll soon realise why this more than 700-year-old monastic complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
At midday, we'll reach Nazaré, and we'll head to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, an impressive church on a hilltop overlooking the popular surfing town. After exploring the Marian shrine, you'll have free time to get some lunch, before we meet back up and continue our excursion to Óbidos. We'll explore this small town, admiring its picturesque medieval buildings and imposing castle, as well as enjoying a tasting of the local liqueur, ginjinha.
The itinerary of this private day trip is similar to our group tour of Batalha, Nazaré, Alcobaça & Óbidos.
Aljustrel, Valinhos & Ourém (4 hours)
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Fátima at the scheduled time and head to some the region's most sacred places: the House-Museum in Aljustrel, the Arneiro Well and Valinhos. While we explore these historic sites, our guide will reveal how they relate to the story of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.
For the finishing touch on the day trip, we'll visit the Castelo de Ourém, a striking medieval fortress where we'll discover its legendary history.
The itinerary of this private day trip is similar to our group tour of Aljustrel, Valinhos and Ourém.
