Discover the pure nature of the Serra do Catarinense with this excursion to Urubici & Serra do Rio do Rastro. We'll travel from Florianópolis to some of the country's greatest natural attractions.
We'll pick you up at 7:10 am at your hotel in Florianópolis and head to Serra Catarinense, one of the most amazing landscapes in southern Brazil.
First, we'll go to Portal de Urubici, where we can take pictures and begin to discover the charm of this town surrounded by mountains, canyons and megalithic monuments. We'll continue the day trip to Morro do Campestre, a rock formation with beautiful panoramic views of the Canoas River valley. Here we can admire the landscape and learn about the geology of the region.
Our adventure continues, visiting a store selling traditional products from Santa Catarina. Later, we'll arrive at the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a place of devotion surrounded by dense vegetation and an enveloping atmosphere of peace. After this visit, we'll leave you some free time to have lunch at your own pace, in Urubici.
With your appetite satiated, we'll resume the route and go in search of the impressive viewpoint of the Serra do Rio do Rastro, located about 1,450 m (4,757 ft) above sea level. From there, we'll contemplate the sharp curves and green landscapes that have made it one of the most emblematic postcards of Brazil. Afterward, we'll go down the road, considered one of the most beautiful in the country.
At the end of the ride, we'll head back to Florianópolis, where we'll finish the tour, 13 hours later.
Pickup is included as long as your hotel in Florianópolis is located in the north, west and downtown areas. If your accommodation is outside these areas, you'll need to make your own way to the following meeting point: Shopping Villa Romana.
