Visit the most popular Alpine destination in France on this day trip from Geneva to the picturesque town of Chamonix, including a ticket to the Aiguille de Midi cable car!
Chamonix + Aiguille du Midi Day Trip
We'll meet at the Geneva bus station to begin our journey south and kick off our exciting Alpine adventure!
Leaving behind the Swiss territory, we'll cross over into France, where the charming Alpine town of Chamonix awaits us, sitting patiently at the feet of Mont Blanc. Discover why visitors from around the world are drawn to these awe-inspiring landscapes! It's no surprise that this mountain is a symbol of European Alpinism.
As we pull up to the beautiful landscape, we'll take a walking tour through Chamonix, looking for its iconic landmarks. Among them, we'll visit St. Michael's Church and the Jacques Balmat statue, the first mountaineer to summit Mont Blanc.
Wrapping up our walking tour through Chamonix, we'll give you about 4 hours of free time to enjoy the town at your own pace and indulge in a delicious meal. At this point, we'll also give you your ticket to the Aiguille du Midi cable car. From the panoramic viewpoint at the summit, you'll be treated to jaw-dropping landscapes of the French Alps. Don't forget your cameras!
Depending on weather conditions, with your cable car ticket you're also granted access to the "Step Into the Void" attraction. Made of a glass-bottomed terrace, this attraction allows you to admire Mont Blanc as if you were suspended 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) in the air.
Then, we'll meet back up in Chamonix to make our return to Switzerland, arriving back in Geneva about 9.5 hours later.
