On this Italian immigration tour of Gramado, we'll immerse ourselves in the cultural heritage of the Italian settlers - the best way to explore the past of this region!
Italian Culture Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Praça das Etnias, where we'll board a jardineira, a charming traditional Brazilian bus. We'll learn about the traditions that the Italian immigrants brought from Europe and that have been passed on from generation to generation until today.
Our first stop will be at the Casa Centenária, a wooden cottage that will show us some important history of the Italian immigrants. After this first contact with this culture, we'll meet Ervateira Marcon, an inhabitant of Gramado who will demonstrate the process of making mate herbs.
Then we'll go to the Fioreze Museum, where we'll be introduced to its owner, Mr. Nelson Fioreze. He will show us his precious collection of antique objects, which is fascinating!
We'll put the finishing touch to our tour of Italian immigration in Gramado at Caffé Della Nonna, the Foss family's place, where we'll have a snack with typical delicacies such as fresh homemade bread, butter, fruit jam, and cheese, as well as drinks such as coffee, tea, juices, and wine. Yum!
To make this experience even more authentic, we'll enjoy this afternoon snack to the soundtrack of live traditional music from the region.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll say goodbye four hours after the start.
