Cerro Blanco Forest Day Trip
At 5:15 am, we'll meet at Avenida Presidente Isidro Ayora, very close to Guayaquil airport, and board a minibus that will take us to the Cerro Blanco Protected Forest. The journey will take us only 25 minutes.
Once in the forest, we'll walk through this great natural space to learn about the different species of tropical plants. We'll also learn to distinguish the different types of timber trees, used for the manufacture of furniture and other objects. Among them are the guayacanes and peniches, can you tell the difference between them? We'll show you how!
We'll follow the Howler Monkey trail to discover the numerous species of exotic birds that inhabit these lands - there are more than 240 registered varieties! In fact, the special protection of this forest is due not only to the flora but also to nine species of birds that inhabit the area and are in danger of extinction.
During the walk through the Cerro Blanco, you'll also encounter other Ecuadorian animals such as iguanas - you won't stop taking pictures!
After the guided tour through the forest, we'll return to the vehicle and drop you off at the starting point at approximately 12:15 pm.
