Quilotoa Trip

Crossing the canyon of Toachi we will arrive at one of the most impressive lakes of the Andes. The Quilotoa lagoon, about 2 miles in diameter, was formed by an eruption of an Andean volcano more than eight centuries ago. Today, the resulting landscape is a natural jewel of Ecuador.
After contemplating the lagoon from several angles, we will go to the Shalala viewpoint, where you will enjoy a stunning panorama. Remember to bring your camera! We will take advantage of this scenario to tell you all about the geology of the place.
On the way back, we will stop by the Toachi River to enjoy the incredible view of the idyllic pine forest. Afterward, we will continue the trip to Guayaquil, where we arrive at 8 pm.
