China's rice paddies are world-famous for their unparalleled beauty. On this tour, you'll explore the iconic Longji rice terraces, one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Guangxi Province. Ready to step into traditional China?
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guilin and, after a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we'll arrive in Longsheng, home to the impressive Longji rice terraces. Here, we'll make our first stop at the ticket office, where you can relax briefly while we collect the tickets for the villages we'll visit.
These terraces, built over 650 years ago, these terraces are a true feat of engineering, stretching between 300 and 1,100 meters (985–3,609 feet) above sea level.
Next, we'll head to the village of Huangluo Yao to enjoy the natural beauty of the place. There, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the town, see its traditional houses and enjoy lunch on your own. You'll fall in love with the beautiful curves created by the rice fields! You'll also have the option of attending a performance by the long-haired Yao women, a sacred symbol of longevity and wealth in the village.
Afterwards, we'll head to the car park in the village of Dazhai, where you can explore the rice terraces in different ways. You'll have the option of going up and down to the viewpoint by cable car or vehicle, or, if you prefer, you can also take a 1-hour hike to a viewpoint or go up by van.
At the end of the afternoon, we'll meet up again with the vehicle in the cable car parking lot to take you back to your hotel in Guilin after a total of 8 hours.
