On this culinary tour, we'll experience Hawaii through its flavors. We'll sample some of the most popular dishes and recipes from the island of Oahu.
We'll pick you up at the meeting point closest to your hotel in Honolulu. From there, we'll board a minibus and tour Honolulu's most authentic spots to enjoy its cuisine.
We'll first set off towards Koko Marina, in the eastern part of Oahu, where we'll visit Leonard's Bakery to try their malasadas, a delicious fried dough pastry. Then, on the way to our next destination, we'll stop at the Haolona Geyser Overlook and Makapu'u Geyser Overlook, where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the coastline and its turquoise waters. Afterwards, we'll stop at a local restaurant to taste some traditional delicacies such as kalua pork, haupia, and poi.
The tour will then take us through He'eia State Park on our way to a macadamia nut farm, where we can taste macadamia nuts with a cup of coffee. Next, we'll head to Kahuku, where we'll try their famous Hawaiian-style garlic shrimp. Here you can also see the fascinating shrimp ponds.
Nearby is the Kahuku Land farm, where we'll pick tropical fruits such as mango and lilikoi (or passion fruit). We'll be able to taste these refreshing fruits while enjoying the views of Sunset Beach.
We'll also stop in Honu, home of the Hawaiian green sea turtle, and in the town of Haleiwa, where we'll leave you some free time to explore a bit on your own before going to the bakery where they sell shaved ice, which of course we'll also get to try.
The last stop of this food tour will be at the Green World coffee farm, which has more than 3,000 coffee plants. We'll learn how the coffee-making process works, from the plant to the cup, and after this experience, we'll take you back to the initial meeting point.
