Pamukkale & Hierapolis Excursion
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your Izmir hotel, and head east towards our first destination: Pamukkale.
Also known as the 'cotton castle,' Pamukkale is one of the most fascinating places on earth. Although it has the look of a frozen oasis, the waters of these travertine terraced pools are actually the perfect temperature for a warm relaxing bath. We'll spend 3 hours in total at Pamukkale, at first accompanied by the guide. Then, you'll be free to wander around and explore the complex's areas at your leisure. If you wish, you can even take a dip in one of the pools.
Once you've gotten your fill of admiring the waters of these peculiar natural formations, we'll visit the ancient Greek city of Hierapolis. There, you will learn about the origins of this ancient city and explore the ruins of the Roman theater.
Then, we'll make our way to a local restaurant to refuel with a delicious lunch. The menu will include a main dish and a drink. Bon appetit!
After lunch, we'll return to Izmir where you will be dropped off at your hotel, arriving after between 11 and 12 hours in total.
