If you want to get started in the world of scuba diving, this diving initiation in Jávea is ideal. You'll take part in Discover Scuba Diving, the official PADI introductory experience, without the need for certification.
Activity Details
We'll meet at the scheduled time at our dive center located on Arenal Beach – Canal de la Fontana. After an introductory briefing, we'll provide you with all the necessary equipment: wetsuit, booties, fins, buoyancy control device (BCD), and regulator.
Once equipped, we'll walk to the boat that will take us to the dive site selected for that day. Upon arrival at the destination, we'll anchor and, accompanied by your instructor, enter the water.
During the dive, which will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, we'll descend to a maximum depth of 6 meters (20 ft). After the experience, we'll return to the dive center to conclude the activity, which has a total duration of 2 to 3 hours.
What is Discover Scuba Diving?
The goal of Discover Scuba Diving is not to learn complex theory, but to help you feel comfortable and fully enjoy the experience under the constant supervision of a PADI instructor. The experience is divided into three main phases:
- The briefing: A simple talk where you'll learn how the equipment works, communication signals, safety rules, and equalization techniques to descend comfortably.
- Practice in a controlled environment: Before going into the open water, we'llcarry out a few short exercises in a very calm, shallow area. You'll practice breathing, basic buoyancy, and how to clear your mask to gain full confidence.
- The dive: Once you are relaxed, we'll enjoy a guided dive exploring the seabed of Jávea.
Important Info
After completing the activity, you must wait at least 24 hours before boarding a plane or travelling to high-altitude areas for physical safety reasons.
Diving spots
Depending on the weather and sea conditions on the day of the activity, we'll dive in one of the following dive sites in the Mediterranean: Cala Blanca, Cala Sardinera, Cala Prim, Portixol Island or marine reserve.
