A visit to Bodegas Álvaro Domecq is perfect to learn about Jerez wines, brandies, and vinegars. Plus, you'll enjoy a tasting of their fantastic products.
The Essence of Jerez
A visit to Bodegas Álvaro Domecq is a must to discover Jerez wine. Originally founded in 1850 by Pilar Aranda, the first woman winemaker in the Marco de Jerez region, it was acquired by the well-known rejoneador from Jerez to produce wines, preserving the artisan essence of the winery.
Since 1998, Bodegas Álvaro Domecq has been producing sherry wines, brandies, and vinegars following one of the best fusions between elegance and tradition, the hallmark of this renowned family. Inside, you can discover how the meticulous production of exceptional sherry wines is carried out, aged in American oak casks using the solera and criaderas system.
In addition, these wineries were incorporated into Terraselecta, a prestigious company focused on making wines in the main wine-growing areas of Spain, seeking a unique terroir, as well as the defense of native varieties.
Currently, Bodegas Álvaro Domecq has some of the most prized wines in international markets, being present in 35 different countries.
