Visit some of the most fascinating Biblical sites on this trip to Bethlehem, the birth city of Jesus, and Jericho, the oldest city in the world.
Bethlehem & Jericho Day Trip
After picking you up from the Hotel David Citadel in Jerusalem at the designated time, we'll start our journey to Jericho, considered the oldest city in the world.
We'll cross the Judean desert, passing by the Inn of the Good Samaritan and here we'll encounter the sycamore tree from which Zacchaeus witnessed Christ passing through the city. And as we explore the town walls, we'll hark back to the time when Josué marched with his troops through Jericho until they fell.
From here we head to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Here we'll visit Manger Square, which is home to the Basilica of the Nativity and the grotto, which the Bible describes as the birthplace of Jesus. Before leaving Bethlehem behind, we'll climb up to Shepherd's Field, the place from where the shepherds set off to honour the nativity of Jesus.
In addition, we'll visit the church of Santa Catalina and its caves, where we'll see the most surprising tombs and sanctuaries. Before leaving Bethlehem, we'll go up to the Field of the Shepherds, the place from which the shepherds left for the Bethlehem portal to honour Jesus.
Having explored the essential places in Bethlehem and Jericho, we'll return to Jerusalem and drop you at the David Citadel Hotel after 10 hours.
