Nestled on fertile plains, the Elqui Valley offers the best ingredients for the most exquisite drinks. To prove it, after picking you up at your hotel in La Serena, we'll set off on a journey in search of one of the best places to taste an authentic pisco.
We'll arrive at Pisquera Capel, a historical cooperative formed by more than 1000 farmers from the regions of Atacama and Coquimbo. There, we'll take a guided tour of the facilities while we learn the step-by-step process of making Chile's emblematic drink, pisco.
Afterwards, we'll head towards the Cavas del Valle Organic Winery, located in the semi-arid terroirs characteristic of the Elqui Valley. Upon arrival, we'll walk through the vineyard's fields as we travel through its long history of passionate winemaking. We'll take a tour of each of their areas and, of course, we'll finish with a tasting of one of their best wines. Cheers!
Next, we'll visit the famous Guayacán Brewery, in the village of Diaguitas. We'll walk around its corners and learn all about the fascinating world of craft beers. At the end of the visit, we'll enjoy a tasting of their most outstanding beers before saying goodbye to this cosy brewery.
Lastly, we'll head to a restaurant to enjoy a Chilean lunch. After the feast, we'll be ready to start our return trip to La Serena.
