Snorkel in the beautiful Loma Blanca lagoon, at the foot of the Patagonian plateau of Fuerte Argentino, with this amazing trip from Las Grutas.
Fuerte Argentino Trip and Snorkeling at Loma Blanca
We will meet up in Las Grutas at the indicated time before departing on board an all-terrain vehicle. The spectacular landscapes of the Argentinean Patagonia will be waiting for us!
We will first visit the so-called villa de los pulperos, where we will discover how the smallest octopus in the world is caught. Then we will continue to the beautiful Piedras Coloradas beach, where we will enjoy a fun sandboarding activity. After this exciting experience, we will continue south following what is known as the Pulperos route.
The next stop will be at El Buque beach, where we will recover our energy with a delicious Patagonian asado that will include chorizos, lamb, salad, bread, wine, and water. Once our strength is restored, we will go to the coastal area of El Sótano to see the flow of its tides. Just a few miles away is the idyllic Cañadón de las Ostras cove, where we will discover marine fossils that are more than 20 million years old!
The route will continue to the famous Fuerte Argentino, an imposing Patagonian plateau almost 4 miles wide. After admiring these wonderful landscapes, we will head to the outskirts of these plains to do snorkeling in the picturesque Loma Blanca lagoon. Here, we will also learn a story related to the legend of the Templars, and we will reveal their link with the Fuerte Argentino!
Finally, after a farewell toast, we will return to the original starting point in Las Grutas 9 hours later.
