Lucca Music Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the statue of Garibaldi in Piazza del Giglio. Here we'll begin a guided tour to discover the importance of Lucca in the history of music. Welcome to the city of the composer of La bohème!

Undoubtedly, an illustrious character of Lucca that has marked international music is Giacomo Puccini. We'll discuss this musician outside the Teatro del Giglio, an opera house whose origins date back to the 17th century.

During the tour, we'll also stroll through the historic center of Lucca with emphasis on the places that have influenced the works of musicians of various kinds, from Francesco Geminiani and Luigi Boccherini to the Rolling Stones.

The tour will then take us to Piazza Cittadella, where we'll find a sculpture erected in honor of Giacomo Puccini. We'll review the most curious episodes of his biography and then enter Puccini Museum. Located in his former birthplace, this exhibition will allow us to see scores, instruments, letters and many other objects that belonged to the composer.
