We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Machala at 9:30 am and head to the historic centre of this beautiful Ecuadorian city. Machala is the capital of the province of El Oro, so its streets are full of history, tradition and architectural beauty. Are you ready to discover its magical charm?
We’ll start the guided tour by walking through the Central Park, a large green space with several integrated fountains. In the vicinity of the park we’ll observe the majestic building of the Municipality and the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Merced, two perfect monuments to review the history of Machala.
Next, we will go to the Plaza de la Inmaculada, where we’ll discover the Clock Tower, did you know that it was commissioned to a European company at the beginning of the 20th century? From here, we'll take Calle Lourdes and stroll along this wide avenue lined with picturesque historic buildings.
To round off our guided tour of Machala, we will enjoy a panoramic tour of the residential area and head to the nearby Wind Park. Here we will learn about the operation of its 11 giant propellers, which supply energy to the city, before returning to the hotels in Machala. Arrival is scheduled at 12:30 pm.
