At 10 am, we'll meet at Piazza Grande in Montepulciano to board a minibus up to the Tuscan town of Chianciano, which is only 20 minutes away.
Once we reach our destination, we'll visit the Archaeological Museum of Chianciano Terme to begin our journey to the origins of the Etruscan civilisation. Do you know the main beliefs? Or what role did women play in this culture? The guide will reveal everything!
We'll see amphorae from the 5th century BC, a recreation of an ancient farm and a tomb, bronze plates, weapons and much more. You'll be surprised from start to finish!
Afterwards, we'll head for the Civic and Archaeological Museum of Sarteano. The exhibition, located in the Palazzo Gabrielli, will show us different Etruscan pieces. Ceramics, luxury objects, funeral urns with human shapes... Really incredible ancient findings.
The last stop will be in the city of Chiusi. There, we'll explore some underground galleries that form the most extensive section of funerary epigraphy in Italy. Do you want to know how these inscriptions were made in stone? We'll reveal it to you!
