At the designated time, we'll meet at Parco Castello, where we'll set off towards one of the most-visited archaeological sites in Italy. Ready to explore the secrets that lie within the ruins of Pompeii?
Once we're onboard, you'll be able to listen to a recorded commentary in English that will tell you all about this ancient city's history and curiosities. Did you know that, having been buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, it is remarkably well-preserved? And that it's believed to have been founded by the Oscans in the 7th century BC?
After a 1-hour journey, we'll arrive at the entrance to the excavations, where you'll have 2.5 hours to visit the site at your own pace. You can get to know astonishing spots like the amphitheatre, the House of the Faun, the Temple of Apollo, and even the Villa of the Mysteries. Get ready to walk down the country's streets imagining its past splendour. It'll be a true journey into the past!
Lastly, we'll meet up once again at the exit to begin the journey back to Naples. We'll be back at our initial meeting point after a total of 4.5 hours in total.
