On this small group day trip to Sorrento, Amalfi, and Positano, you’ll explore three gems of the Amalfi Coast at your own pace, the birthplace of ancient maritime republics.
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the meeting point you select to begin this day trip through some of the most iconic spots in southern Italy. Once ready, we’ll board a minibus and head to the first destination of the day, which we’ll reach after a 1-hour journey. Let’s go!
Welcome to Sorrento! Ready to discover this elegant town overlooking the Gulf of Naples? Here, you’ll have 1 hour of free time to explore its lively historic center at your own pace.
You can stroll through Piazza Tasso, visit the Chiostro di San Francesco, one of the most picturesque spots in Sorrento, or walk to the Villa Comunale. Don’t forget your camera, as you’ll get some of the best views of Mount Vesuvius and the bay from here.
Afterward, we’ll head to Positano, just a 30-minute drive away. It’s probably the most photographed town on the Amalfi Coast!
During 1 hour, you can wander through its steep streets filled with bougainvillea and colorful houses. Be sure to visit Spiaggia Grande, see the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, famous for its tiled dome, or explore the local craft shops and Mediterranean fashion boutiques. You’ll probably be tempted to do a little shopping!
Shall we continue? Next, we’ll arrive in Amalfi, a former maritime republic. Here, you’ll have 1.5 hours to explore the town at your own pace. You can admire the impressive Amalfi Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Andrew and located in the lively Piazza del Duomo, stroll through the old town streets, or relax by the sea. If you wish, you can even go for a swim at the beach, as we’ll provide towels so you can enjoy the sea comfortably.
On the return journey to Naples, there will be a limoncello prize draw, with the winner receiving a bottle of this iconic liqueur as a prize. And the best part? Upon arrival in the capital of Campania, we’ll treat ourselves to a tasting of pizza and tiramisu.
Finally, we’ll say our goodbyes at the starting point after an 11-hour trip.
