Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this beautiful area of the province of Castellón and discover its monuments and incredible scenery.
At 3:30 pm, we'll meet outside the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office ready to start the trip. For 30 minutes we'll travel onboard a minibus that will take us to the town of Villafamés.
As soon as we arrive at our destination, we'll begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, which has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest. As we walk around Villafamés we'll tell you how its strategic location on the top of a hill has marked its history.
We'll also see the façade of the church of La Asunción, the stone houses so characteristic of this town and the castle, which dates back to the times of Muslim rule are a must-see. Do you want to find out all about the history of these buildings?
Then we'll visit the Roca Grossa, a large mass of stone full of mystery. Here you'll have to make three wishes, although, according to legend, you'll only be granted one. We'll reveal all the myths related to this natural monument during the tour.
The last stop will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, located in the Batlle Palace. In its exhibition rooms, we'll see numerous works of art that cover different artistic trends from the 1920s to the present - the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable excursion!
We'll finish the tour at 7:30 pm by dropping you off at Oropesa del Mar.
