After being picked from your hotel in Palinuro, we'll hit the road for the archaeological site of Velia, located in the Piana di Velia district in the town of Ascea Marina.
Once at our destination, we'll visit the archaeological site, known as Velia in the Roman world and Elea in the Greek world. Here, we'll go on an unforgettable journey back in time to discover what remains of this powerful city located at the center of the ancient trade routes between Greece and Etruria. A surprising visit!
During the tour, we'll of course admire one of the site's highlights: the famous Porta Rosa, the only example of a 4th century Greek arch and a jewel of the architecture of the time. You won't be able to stop taking pictures!
After six hours of excursion, we'll conclude the day by taking you back to your hotel in Palinuro.
