Do you love walking around beautiful nature? This hiking route passes 8 incredible Dragões waterfalls. It's a natural gem in the state of Goiás!
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pirenópolis and head north.
After driving approximately 40 km (25 miles), we'll arrive at the spectacular natural area in Goiás: the famous Cascadas dos Dragões, formed of 8 delightful waterfalls whose name references the dragons of Zen Buddhism teachings. Ready to explore?
Upon arrival, we'll start a hike around the Cascadas dos Dragões. Along the route, of about 4.3 km (2.7 miles) and moderate difficulty, we'll explore a captivating landscape. Firstly, we'll walk to Portão do Dragão Fall, named after the gate of a Zen monastery.
Our next stop will be Pérola do Dragão Waterfall, one of the deepest on the route. Then, we'll continue to Dragão Azul, Dragão Verdadeiro and Dragão Voador. This last one is the tallest of all the waterfalls in the tour, at 55 metres (180 feet)! The next waterfall we'll see will be Nuvens do Dragão where we'll take a break to enjoy the lunch that you've brought with you.
The final part of the route passes the Dragão do Céu and Rei dos Dragões Waterfalls, famous for creating a natural jacuzzi. Why not take a dip?
Finally, we'll walk back to the starting point of the route and from here, start our return drive back to Pirenópolis. We expect to arrive back at your hotel after about 7 hours of activity.
