At the indicated time, we'll meet at 32 Via Roma to leave Pompeii behind and start this excursion that will take us to the Vesuvius National Park. Are you ready?
We'll board a bus that will carry us up to an altitude of 1,000 meters (3,280 ft) on the slopes of Vesuvius. During the ride, you'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Italian countryside.
Once we get off the vehicle, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to visit the crater. Our recommendation is to take the approximately 20-minute hike to the summit. As you ascend, the audio guide in English will narrate the history and geological features of Vesuvius, giving you a deep understanding of this natural colossus! The views at the top will be worth it.
Upon reaching the summit, you'll marvel at the beauty of this active volcano and its steaming fumaroles. From this privileged vantage point, you can admire the majestic Gulf of Naples and its islands, a view that will take your breath away.
After this time, the bus will be waiting for you to return to Pompeii, where we'll arrive 3 hours later.
