In this quad tour around São Miguel, we'll enjoy the lush nature of the Azores Islands in a unique, fun, and exciting route!
São Miguel Quad Tour
When you book, you can choose between a 4-hour and an 8-hour tour. In both cases, we'll meet at the chosen time at Rua Eng Alberto Rodrigues de Ponta Delgada.
4-Hour Tour
We'll set off from Ponta Delgada and head northwest to the magnificent Sete Cidades Massif. We'll ride our quads along the edge of this volcanic crater.
Throughout the tour, we'll make stops in different places to admire the different elements of the landscape, such as the breathtaking twin lakes of the Lagoa das Sete Cidades. At the end of the tour, we'll drive our quads south back to São Miguel.
8-Hour Tour
If you book the 8-hour tour, we'll follow the same itinerary as the 4-hour tour. At the end of this route, our next destination will be the Baía do Silencio, where you'll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the island of São Miguel. Afterwards, we'll take a break to indulge in a buffet lunch in a local restaurant.
Then we'll continue our journey until we reach Ponta da Ferraria and zoom around this spectacular landscape at full speed. At the end of the tour, we'll head back to São Miguel.
Tour Schedule
When making your reservation, you should take the following tour times into consideration:
- The 4-hour tour starts either at 8:30 am or 1:30 pm.
- The 8-hour tour starts at 8:30 am.
Requirements
Each quad can hold a maximum of 2 people; a pilot and a passenger. Both can take turns driving the vehicle during the tour if the requisites are met.
To be able to drive the quad, it's necessary to be over the age of 18 and to hold an in-date driving licence, that must be valid in Portugal.
Before taking part in the tour, you must make a credit card payment deposit of 500 EUR per vehicle, which will be returned to you 72 hours after the tour.
Please keep in mind that the listed prices are per vehicle and not per person.
Minibus Tour
If the group exceeds 8 people, we'll take the same route described in the itinerary section by minibus.
