Discover two of Slovenia's natural wonders on this tour of Lipica and the Skocjan Caves from Portorož. Meet the famous Lipizzaner horses and discover impressive caverns!
After picking you up from your hotel in Portorož at 9 am, we'll drive to Lipica, located about 40 minutes away. Did you know that this town is the birthplace of the famous Lipizzaner white horses? Let's meet these noble animals!
Upon arrival in Lipica, we'll enter one of the most important stud farms in the country to learn all about these majestic horses, one of Slovenia's most emblematic symbols. We'll learn how they're cared for on a daily basis, how they're fed, and see the environment in which they live.
During the tour of the Lipica stud farm, you'll also have time to get up close to the Lipizzaner horses, visit the Lipikum Museum and, if you want, attend a horse show as well.
After the tour of the farm, we'll head to the Skocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the nickname "the Underround Grand Canyon". Inside this impressive cave system, we'll see the curious karst formations that have developed along the Reka River.
At the end of the tour, you'll be dropped back off at your hotel in Portorož at 2 pm.
