Discover the fauna of southern Gran Canaria by booking this catamaran ride with dolphin and whale watching. After the ride, you can explore the famous market of Puerto de Mogán at your own pace.
Activity Details
At the designated time, we'll sail from the Puerto Base in Puerto Rico on board a catamaran. Ready to sail the coasts of southern Gran Canaria?
Throughout this 2-hour sail, we'll try to spot dolphins and whales. This area in the north Atlantic Ocean is ideal for spotting whales. We'll try to get close to these species so you can take pictures of them from the boat, while respecting their natural habitat at all times.
While we sail between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogán, you'll see from the catamaran the different points of this part of Gran Canaria's coastline, such as the Playa de Amadores or the cliffs of Taurito.
We'll conclude this 2-hour catamaran ride in Puerto de Mogán, known as the "Venice of the Canaries" or its picturesque set of canals and white houses decorated with colorful borders and violet-colored bougainvilleas.
Once we disembark, you'll have about 3 hours of free time to explore the famous market of Puerto de Mogán at your own pace. On Fridays, this town brings together many stalls selling clothing, crafts, organic products, and various gastronomic specialties from the Canary Islands.
Finally, we'll regroup in the center of Puerto de Mogán to start our 20-minute journey by bus to the starting point in Puerto Rico, where we'll conclude this 5-hour activity.
Whale Watching
The coast of Gran Canaria is one of the best places to see whales and dolphins. However, animals are fairly unpredictable creatures, so we can't promise a sighting. The chances of spotting them depend on various factors, such as current weather conditions or the breeding and rearing seasons of different species.
