Climb up to Bandera Hill and gaze out at incredible views of Puerto Williams' coastline on our hike. You'll also see the Tierra del Fuego's rugged Dientes de Navarino mountains.
Bandera Hill Hike
We'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel in Puerto Williams and drive along a trail that goes deep into Navarino Island. Let's go!
When we get to the starting point, we'll set off on a 2-mile (3.5-kilometre) hike through one of the most beautiful parts of Navarino Island. This Patagonian island, which belongs to the Chilean part of the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego, enchants all who visit. We'll admire the breathtaking scenery while crossing the world's southernmost forests.
During this unforgettable activity we'll climb up to the top of Bandera Hill, which is located at an altitude of 2,132 feet (650 metres). Once we've reached the summit, we'll gaze out at extraordinary views of Puerto Williams. If it's a clear day, we might even be able to see Ushuaia and other parts of the Argentinean side of Tierra del Fuego across the Beagle Channel.
The top of Bandera Hill will also give us stunning views of the Dientes de Navarino, which are rugged mountain peaks located in the interior of the island. We'll admire these spectacular landscapes while having a light snack at the top of the hill.
After getting our energy back, we'll start our descent back to the beginning of the trail. From there, we'll return to your hotel in Puerto Williams and drop you off at 1 pm.
