Join us on this tour from Rethymno to discover some of the greatest natural charms of central Crete. The grotto of Patsos, the beach of Plakias, and the village of Spili await us.
At 8.30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Rethymno and head south to visit stunning locations such as Spili, the Patsos grotto, and Plakias beach. Off we go!
Onboard a comfortable minibus, we'll travel through the nature of Crete until we reach the Patsos grotto, a gorge filled with over 80 species of vegetation and 24 species of wildlife, many of which are protected. Also, we'll see the small church nestled in the rock hidden in Patsos.
Our excursion will continue south, and we'll stop at a viewpoint to admire the beautiful scenery surrounding Rethymno. We'll then arrive at the Botanical Garden and, for 40 minutes, we'll explore its interior to discover the native plants and flowers of Crete.
Another place we'll visit during the tour is Spili, a charming mountain village renowned for its spring water, cobblestone streets, and old houses full of history. We'll visit the Folklore Museum to further delve into its Cretan culture.
Lastly, we'll pass through the Kourtaliotis canyon until we reach the beach of Plakias, where you'll have free time for lunch and take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters - the perfect finishing touch to the tour!
We'll return to your hotel in Rethymno at 5.30 pm.
