With this hiking route through the Chimborazo volcano reserve, you'll walk through valleys with a lot of history and you'll see the closest terrestrial point to the sun, a unique route that you can't miss!
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Riobamba and head to the La Chorrera canyon, where we'll start a 15-km trekking route through the Chimborazo volcano reserve.
As we hike, we'll get to know some endemic plants and, if we're lucky, we may encounter herds of friendly vicuñas! Along the way, we'll pass by the first Carrel refuge and, 1.5 km later, we'll arrive at the Whymper refuge.
Afterwards, we'll continue the trail to the Cóndor Cocha lagoon, located at an altitude of 5,100 meters above sea level. Then, we'll descend until we reach La Chorrera Canyon to visit the Chimborazo viewpoint, where you'll fall in love with the views! There we'll offer you a delicious snack to recharge your batteries.
Finally, we'll head back to Riobamba, where we'll arrive 7-8 hours later.
