Are you in Rome and looking to discover an Italian paradise? Join us on this day trip to the Amalfi Coast, where we’ll take a boat trip to Amalfi and Positano while sailing across the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Day Trip Details
We’ll meet early in the morning by the obelisk in Piazza del Popolo, right in the heart of Rome, to head south. We'll leave the Italian capital behind as we enter the Campania region, where the landscape completely transforms, and the deep blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea takes center stage. Let’s go!
After a 3-hour bus ride, we’ll arrive in Salerno, where we’ll board a boat for a scenic cruise that offers the very best views of the Amalfi Coast cliffs. Our first stop will be in Amalfi, where you’ll have 2 hours of free time to stroll through its plazas, admire the stunning architecture of its cathedral, and get lost in its charming white alleys.
To make the experience even better, we’ll enjoy a traditional limoncello tasting. There’s no better way to get a true taste of this coastline than by sampling its most famous liqueur!
We’ll then continue sailing toward Positano, one of the most beautiful villages in the Mediterranean. As we approach from the sea, you'll see exactly why it's called the "vertical city", a labyrinth of pastel-colored houses seems to defy gravity on the cliffside. You’ll have 1 hour of free time to explore its artisanal fashion boutiques, relax on its beaches, or simply enjoy a gelato by the sea.
Finally, we’ll head back to Salerno by boat to begin the return bus journey to Rome, arriving back after a full 15.5-hour day trip.
