Chile's Valle Hermoso (beautiful valley) certainly lives up to its name. We'll enjoy breathtaking scenic landscapes on this horseback ride, one of the essential activities in San Fabián de Alico.
At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in San Fabián de Alico and head over to the stable of a local wrangler named Miguel.
After greeting the animals and learning some simple safety rules, we'll embark on an unforgettable horseback ride through Chile's Valle Hermoso. During the route, we'll ride for 6-7 hours in total and we'll make different stops to calmly admire the marshes and the landscapes of the Malalcura hill and the snow-capped Chillán.
We'll begin the tour ascending through a lush forest, where we'll see how the vegetation changes as we gain more than 1000 meters (2,280 feet) of altitude. It'll be well worth the effort since after three hours of riding we'll see the spectacular native Coigue forests of Valle Hermoso.
If you wish to extend the trip a little longer, we'll continue the trail ride to a well-known viewpoint that will offer us extraordinary panoramic views of the Bullileo mountain range and the Chillán volcano. While enjoying the scenery, we'll stop and take a well-deserved rest. If you choose not to go to the viewpoint, this stop will take place beforehand.
We'll also enjoy a delicious picnic lunch that includes: two sandwiches, a piece of fruit, hard-boiled eggs, nuts, and crackers. As a beverage, you'll be able to choose between coffee or herbal tea. After lunch, we'll rest in the valley listening to the stories of our wrangler Miguel.
Finally, we'll ride back to the stable and then return to your hotel in San Fabián, where we'll arrive at 4 pm.
The tour includes pickup from the hotels located in downtown San Fabián de Alico. If you're staying in more remote areas, we'll pick you up at the Plaza de Armas, next to the Tourist Office.
