Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán to begin our day trip to the Aconquija National Park. Along the way, we'll pass the vast sugar cane, lemon, and blueberry plantations, typical products of the region. Let's go!
Passing through the Aconquija National Park, we'll admire the lush vegetation of the Yungas Forest, the most impressive forest in Argentina. Our first stop will be at the Samay Cochuna camping site. Afterward, we'll stop at the La Banderita lookout, where you'll marvel at the vast forest and the towering peaks of the Nevados del Aconquija. Now's the time to take some stunning pictures!
3 and a half hours after pickup, we'll arrive at the Valle de Las Estancias, a site with different mountain landscapes and lovely towns. Here, we'll take a short break before continuing our journey and starting our trek along the Camino del Inca Argentino.
After the first 40 minutes of hiking, we'll reach the Inca site of Pucará del Aconquija, where we'll explore its kallankas, kolcas, walls, and defensive towers. We'll take a break for lunch outdoors, which will include a sandwich and a piece of fruit.
After finishing our 2-kilometer journey, which reaches a maximum altitude of 7217 feet (2200 m), we'll begin our return to San Miguel de Tucumán. About 12 hours after pickup, we'll drop you off at your hotel.
