Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll set sail from the old port of Fira on a boat bound for Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni, two volcanic islands located in the Santorini Caldera. All aboard!
After a 10-minute journey, we'll arrive at the small port of Nea Kameni, where the active volcano is located. You'll have approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of free time to walk around and explore this wild landscape, with its different volcanic rocks and active craters, which still emit smoke and a strong smell of sulphur.
Next, we'll make our way to the island of Palaia Kameni, famous for its thermal waters. Inside the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, the water temperature ranges between 30-35°C (86-95°F), although it's constantly mixed with seawater. We'll give you half an hour of free time, enough time to climb down the boat's ladder into the sea and swim about 30 m (98 ft) into this small bay, where the mud baths are located.
After swimming in these warm waters, we'll return to the boat to begin sailing around the Santorini Caldera. On the way back, you'll be able to take magnificent photographs of the landscape and the houses that literally hang from the edge of the cliff, all combined with the beautiful colours of the sunset. Without a doubt, a magical experience in the Aegean Sea.
Finally, once the sun has set, we'll stop at the starting point, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 4.5 hours.
