Admire São Paulo from the highest point in the city on this hiking route to Pico do Jaraguá. We’ll walk along the Pai Zé trail, surrounded by lush forests.
Activity Details
Do you feel like reaching the highest point in São Paulo? Then, after meeting at the scheduled time and meeting point, we’ll head into Jaraguá State Park, one of the best-preserved natural areas in the city.
Once we reach the start of the trail, we’ll begin a 3-kilometer hike. Ready to walk uphill? With plenty of energy, we’ll set off along the Pai Zé trail, a remarkable path that runs through two types of forest: Atlantic Forest and the Cerrado.
As we move forward, we’ll be surrounded by tall trees forming canopies of light and shade. Along the way, while observing the local wildlife, we’ll talk about the area and how it remains so lush despite being so close to the city.
Finally, we’ll reach the impressive Pico do Jaraguá, at 1135 meters (3724 feet) above sea level, where the spectacular views will reward our effort. As we take in the panorama of the city and the Serra da Cantareira, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved break, and you can recharge with your own food.
After the hike, we’ll return to the starting point, where we’ll say goodbye after 5 to 6 hours of activity.
