Trip Details
After picking you up at your Seattle hotel at the appointed time, we'll head south out, taking the road that will take us to the Paradise Jackson Visitor Center in Mount Rainier National Park. We'll reach an altitude of 1,400 m (4,590 ft)!
First stop? Federation Forest State Park, where we'll spend half an hour walking along a short trail surrounded by moss-covered forests and ancient trees, breathing in the humidity and freshness of the environment. Then it's time to enter Mount Rainier National Park. There, we'll take a 15-minute break to capture the iconic photograph next to the entrance sign.
We'll continue on to Deer Creek Falls, walking for 10 minutes to immerse ourselves in the crystal-clear sound of the water and the alpine air. Afterward, we'll stop for half an hour at Grove of the Patriarchs station so you can enjoy lunch on your own.
With renewed energy, we won't head to Box Canyon Loop, but in 15 minutes we'll explore a 30-m-deep (100 ft) canyon with breathtaking views of the colossal Mount Rainier. Camera ready?
We'll continue with a short 15-minute walk to Louise Lake, a tranquil alpine lake. Later we'll take a sweet 15-minute break at a local bakery in Elbe at the foot of Mount so you can enjoy chocolates and handmade delicacies at your own pace.
Tired? Surely not! We'll resume our journey and make another stop where we'll spend half an hour admiring the Reflection Lakes, where Mount Rainier is perfectly reflected on clear days.
Finally, after a 2-hour return journey, we'll say goodbye at your hotel, arriving 9 hours after picking you up.
